DIA Vision 2010

February 8, 2010

The Design Institute of Australia (DIA) is Australia’s professional body for designers and design businesses. It is a membership organisation promoting the value of professional design and designers to industry, business, government, and the community through its National Council and State Branches.

Today I attended Vision 2010, announcing the exciting events and projects in the works by the DIA’s Queensland Chapter. Hosted by Street and Garden Furniture, Co-President National Councillors for Queensland, Natalie Wright and Scott Bagnell, spoke about some of the highlights for this year’s program including the already popular Fresh Ground Breakfast Series with engaging design industry speakers, DIAlogues – a series of thoughtful presentations by leading industry professionals about their work and hot topics within the sector, Queensland Design on Show – the statewide design award and a range of events engaging local design businesses within the community to improve social outcomes.

Looks like it’s shaping up for a busy year in Queensland design!
