Tour de Force: in case of emergency break glass

Artisan‘s first exhibition for 2010 opened today. Tour de Force: in case of emergency break glass features pieces by eight significant artists who happen to work with glass. They all have a strong craft background but employ that in an art practice. From the huge crystallized sugar skull by Tim Horn to the poetic memorials by Deb Jones, this is a contemporary art exhibition resonant with meaning and beauty. Curated by Megan Bottari, artists Tom Moore, Ian Mowbray, Tim Horn, Jacqueline Gropp, Neil Roberts, Patricia Roan, Deb Jones and Nicholas Folland all show work which pushes the boundaries of this time-honoured medium.
