Collected Patterns: The botany of Walter Hill – Letterpress

Featuring in my upcoming exhibition, Collected Patterns: The botany of Walter Hill, is a series of beautiful letterpress prints staring the following plants cultivated in the Brisbane City Botanic Gardens by Walter Hill (1855-1881): Croton, Tobacco, Cinchona, Lucerne, Sugar Cane and White Clover. Printed on Magnani Incisioni 650/5 Smooth White 100% Cotton Rag Paper using rubber-based inks these prints embody precision, richness, warmth and depth.

6 letterpress prints. Edition of 10.

The Bunya Bunya makes a special appearance.

6 postcard-sized prints. Edition of 20.

Exhibition runs: 5-12 March, 2011 at Myrtle Street Studio
