Collected Patterns: The botany of Walter Hill – About Letterpress

March 8, 2011

As part of the exhibition didactics for Collected Patterns: The botany of Walter Hill, I decided to include some brief information on the history of Letterpress and what it actually is, given a large portion of works in the show are, well, letterpress prints!

Below is my version and here is my source.

If anyone else would like to share information on Letterpress, please leave a comment!

Myrtle Street Studio is closed today, but reopens tomorrow (Wednesday) until Friday 12noon to 6pm, with the final day of the exhibition on Saturday 12th March from 10am to 4pm. Come along and we can talk letterpress!
