Life with Intention

Life with Intent

Last year a dear friend shared this quote: “Your life is your most important project”, by product designer Ayse Birsel-Seck. Ayse creates product solutions with her partner which develop out of a particular philosophy of deconstruction/reconstruction, which allows you to break down preconceived ideas and ways of doing things in order to gain a new perspective.

You could say I heard this quote at the perfect time. The perfect time being when you hear something and things gel, you see something and ideas form, you meet someone and a new relationship blossoms. However, for some reason, I couldn’t remember this quote verbatim and kept remembering it as “design the life you wish to live”.

Hearing it in my mind this way, activated the concept and made me feel empowered with the thought that anything is possible. I believe wholeheartedly as Ayse says, “if you can imagine something, you can make it happen”. I went from listening to this statement come into my life on loudspeaker to building things into my life that connect to my core values.

In this way, each day is fuelled with purpose and meaning. Every day has clear intent and there is a real peace and harmony that comes with being connected to that part of you that knows you are doing what you are meant to.
